Hello Doug,
I must admit that I haven’t looked at the site for a while as my computer sometimes plays at silly people! I have sent a letter containing a brief family tree to prove I was genuine. If you would like to contact me direct my e-mail address is mew1948@yahoo.co.uk.It was by chance I Googled “Yallourn” and came across the site.
As I am getting older I have been trying to put my family tree in order. I know that in the 1960s my Mum used to get letters from Mavis and Bill in which she mentioned “Uncle Jim and Aunt Meggie” and Mavis also mentioned her three children, Janet, Elaine and Ian. You say that Mavis was niece of James Henry Catterick. Was she the daughter of Sarah Jane (nee Catterick) and Thomas Hall? IF Mavis was the daughter of Sarah Jane (nee Catterick) and Thomas Hall then I have a photo of Sarah Jane’s father if you are interested.
Hope you enjoyed your long trip. We have a touring caravan but haven’t been away much in the last couple of years due to family commitments. Hopefully this will improve in the future.
