Hillside_25_Beanland_1960

On appointment to the position of Electrical Operations Superintendent, Yallourn in November 1960, the solid brick house at 25 Hillside, on the corner of Maiden Street, was allocated to Kathleen and myself and our two children, Paul and Warwick. It was interesting to move into the house across the road as an adult with a family of my own from the one I had left in 1942 (No 26). While in Yallourn, there were two further additions to the family, Janet and Martin. In 1961 or 1962, we won a prize for Most Improved Garden in the town. The family moved from 25 Hillside when I resigned in early 1965.
