Large parkland at the rear of the Firestation where we spent most of our time as children. Tree climbing was high on agenda, many huge pine trees. Backyard was small which is why the park was a big attraction. I attended YPS but left in Grade 6. Family moved to Geelong. I was the U11 & U12 'Potato Race' champ and record holder (quite an athlete!!). Unfortunately, Ive never seen the event anywhere else - so no professional career!
