31 Fairfield Avenue Guest House

I lived at the Guest House from March 1954 until about November 1954. The Williams were running it. I was in charge of the installation of the PMG Telephone Exchange which was at the rear of the State Savings Bank and the RSL building. I also stayed there on the 2nd January 1959 the day before my marriage to Thelma Sharman at St. John's Anglican Church on the Square. Thelma died in April 2013 after 54 years of being together.
