I remember Lyall as "The Big
I remember Lyall as "The Big Bloke" The greatest boss a young apprentice could ever have.
A fair and honest man that ruled the instrument workshop in the power station with an iron hand
and a heart of gold.
The shennanigans that his work force used to get up to (while doing their job well) was usually taken in the best of humour.
But if anyone stepped over the line he would come down like a ton of bricks. (I am using the imperial ton because it was imperial times).
The training I received at the instrument workshop was second to none, (both in the trade and for living my life).
Thank you Lyall Ray and all your colleagues.
