1970 - Peter is the blonde (white hair) standing in the middle. I think I recognise the Lyon's twins - Paul and Norm and Phillip Davies (Daffy) at the front. I think the guy behind the tree is Mark Hawken

This photo was actually 1970, as Peter and Myself (Gaynor) did not arrive in Yallourn until 1 December 1969 and did not attend Yallourn High until 1970.

Thanks Gaynor...I couldn't believe that I actually recognised Peter and thought the next comment I'd see would be that it wasn't him (I was a big Form V'er by this stage). Do you recognise anyone else in the photo? Julie

Which young man is Peter Loftus? Behind the tree is Harrison (Ralph!) Standing side to camera, looking in direction of seat, looks like Russell Hawken, to his right could be Trevor Dolphin. His father owner Dolphin's book shop. Trevor was an excellent swimmer.

Russell Hawkin's is in school photo 1968 6A. He is the student in this photo looking towards the seat. If this photo is 1970 Russell would have completed matric 1968, 1969, 1970. Same goes for Trevor Dolphin, who was a year above me. He is in a photo 1966 Year 5. In 1966 I was Year 4. Did Ralph Harrison return to YHS?

Thank you so much. I look after children, yes I know at nearly 61 I should know better, they will be here soon. I'm thinking, who does this Pauline think she is, you see, I'm sure I was in the vicinity when the photo was taken, but being so long ago, ones brain could be a little clouded. I followed the coal seam to Altona (East). Altona's brown coal was too difficult to excavate. I loved going to Yallourn High School.

My guess who is in this photo. Far left standing right leg in front of left leg Robyn Kempster, sitting on bench ?Ingravellie or Ruth Bailey, sitting on the back of bench, face shielded Diane Hall, Peter Loftus, did he start school on arrival from England, December 1969), ?, ?, Russell Hawken looking towards bench (he was Year 6, 1968 and 1969), Roger (not Trevor) Dolphin sticking his figure up at camera, I still think boy behind tree is Ralph Harrison, although he left school in 1966, I'm sure he returned after a year off.
