This shop was closed approximately 1953 when the new library was built on this site and the shoe repairs were shifted to a new shop built in Garden Street. The Business in Garden Street was sold to Zenon Miltiadous in 1956.

The comments included at 11 Maryvale [3386] by my uncle Ian Stanger, should really be attached to 44 Banksia Street.
The family definitely moved from Maryvale Road to Banksia Street in 1935, not 1937.
Thomas Stanger was actually born Thomas Stanger, not Thomas Carlisle Stanger
