Can anyone help with any history of the Yallourn Baseball Club? They "lived" on No 5 Oval on Eastern Road. Any photos would be good. I have just created the Group because, until Mark D'Alterio told me last week, I didn't know Yallourn had a baseball club.

You're right, Rod C, Peter S & Frank R all played. I had the priviledge of playing with them in 1966-69. I have a full list of players of that era and a few photos. Once I find out how to load them I will post more information. Rod McDonald

I'm Brian Kenny. I was about 14 or 15 in 1964/65. Was in the YBC for about a season or two. Also played for YHS for years. Was very bad at it, but still luv the game and try to catch the world series on tv when I can

I played for the Yallourn baseball club around 1969-70. Lindsay Baker, who I was boarding with at the time, also played. Mr Apps was either the President or a Past President I believe. He was a regular spectator which suggests he had a relative, perhaps a grandson who also played. Our uniform was a black or very dark blue.

YBC uniform was Navy Blue with white 'Yallourn' across the chest with navy pants and socks with 3 white hoops around the socks.

As per other post I played Under 16s with YBC and players included Rob & Ross Barnes, Trevor Williamson, Ray Williams, Mark D'alterio and myself - that I can remember.

Frank, Peter & Rod all played 'A' Grade with my bother Greg.

I am Don Mussared and I was a member of YBC for a couple of years along with Alan Davis, Ralph Harrison, John Crane and Brian Kenny. If memory serves me correctly I think the time frame was around the mid 1960's.

A fellow by the name of Rod was our coach but his surname escapes me.
