Scouts - Narracan Falls | Scouts | Camp was at Narracan Falls. The event was a 'flower bomb' fight. The guy with the glasses and flower all over him was the Assistant scout leader but I can't remember his name? He was Assistant under scout master Murray MacRae who was not at this camp. The scout with the fair hair, dark shorts and small billy in hand was Ken Tilley (where are you now Ken?). The scout next to him with the dark hair and billy was myself (Wayne Tangey). Next to me with his back to the camera (lower right) I think was Ken MacRae. Sorry but I can't remember the others in the picture? |

Yallourn Bricks made by the Brickworks | Memorabilia | Bricks used in the town's construction were all made on site at Yallourn's own brickworks. W H (Dad) Brewer's family came to Yallourn to set up the brickworks for the SEC and then managed it until it was no longer of use to the commission. 'Dad' Brewer then leased it until he died in the late 1940's. During the time he managed the brickworks for the SEC, the bricks all had 'Yallourn' stamped into the 'frog', when he leased the brickworks and ran it as a family business, the family name 'Brewer' replaced Yallourn on the bricks. |
